Grafted Euphorbia horwoodii f. cristata
Common Name: Crested Horwood’s Euphorbia (Grafted Form)
Euphorbia horwoodii f. cristata is a spectacular and rare crested euphorbia with a rippled, fan-shaped growth habit and a sculptural, alien appearance. This form is grafted onto a compatible euphorbia base to improve vigor, stability, and long-term growth—making it easier to enjoy this delicate cultivar in your collection.
The crested ridge features deep emerald-green waves, often edged with lighter green or blue-gray hues, and lined with tiny spines along the crest. Each plant is uniquely shaped and often develops new folds over time, making it a true living sculpture.
☀ Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Avoid intense direct afternoon sun, especially in hot climates, as the crest can be sensitive to burning.
💧 Watering Needs
Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly during the growing season, and reduce significantly in cooler months. Never let the graft sit in soggy soil.
🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Keep above 45°F. Protect from frost and cold drafts. For winter shipping or colder zones, we strongly recommend adding a [Heat Pack].
⚠ CAUTION:
As with all euphorbias, the milky sap is toxic and can cause skin and eye irritation. Use gloves when handling, and keep away from pets and children.
