Myrtillocactus Geometrizans var. Fukurokuryuzinboku
Common Name: Boobie Cactus
Myrtillocactus Geometrizans var. Fukurokuryuzinboku is one of the most sought-after oddities in the cactus world. Nicknamed the Boobie Cactus for its plump, rounded tubercles that resemble—you guessed it—little breasts, this rare Japanese cultivar is a form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans with dramatically exaggerated curves and dimples.
Its blue-green skin and unusual symmetry give it a playful yet sculptural presence. Slow-growing and highly collectible, this cactus is often grown as a single specimen in minimalist containers to highlight its one-of-a-kind form. Over time, it can develop branching columns, each with that signature “bubble” shape.
☀ Light Requirements
Loves full sun to very bright light. Outdoors, give it plenty of direct sunlight. Indoors, place in your brightest window to maintain its compact, symmetrical growth.
💧 Watering Needs
Water deeply only when soil is completely dry. Like all Myrtillocactus, this cultivar is extremely drought-tolerant and prefers a lean watering schedule, especially in winter.
🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to about 25–30°F in dry conditions. Protect from frost and excessive cold. For winter shipping, we recommend adding a [Heat Pack].
