Gerrardanthus macrorhizus is a caudiciform climbing vine in the cucumber family (Cucurbitaceae), known for developing a massive, pumpkin-like caudex with age. Slender climbing vines emerge from the caudex and produce glossy, prominently veined leaves and small brownish flowers.
