Gasteria carinata Hybrid
Common Name: Bredasdorp Gasteria

This Gasteria carinata hybrid, often referred to as the Bredasdorp Gasteria, is a striking, slow-growing succulent known for its thick, speckled leaves and neatly stacked rosette form. A hybrid of Gasteria carinata, which is native to the Bredasdorp region of South Africa, this cultivar boasts bumpy, ridged textures and rich green tones flecked with silvery-white spots.

Over time, the plant forms tight, low clumps, making it ideal for containers, windowsills, or shaded succulent arrangements. Gasterias are known for their ability to thrive in lower light and are exceptionally easy to grow indoors.

☀ Light Requirements
Thrives in bright, indirect light or filtered sun. Tolerates lower light better than most succulents, but stronger light will enhance texture and spotting.

💧 Watering Needs
Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry. Gasterias are drought-tolerant and prefer to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in winter or during dormancy.

🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to about 30–35°F with protection. Avoid frost and prolonged cold. For winter shipping or cold zones, consider adding a [Heat Pack].

✨ Special Features
Distinct Leaf Texture – Raised ridges and bumpy surfaces for added interest
Low Light Tolerant – Excellent choice for indoor growers
Compact & Clumping – Grows slowly into a tidy, attractive cluster

Other Common Names:
