Gasteria bicolor Hybrid
Common Name: Ox Tongue Hybrid
This Gasteria bicolor Hybrid is a striking and resilient succulent known for its fleshy, tongue-shaped leaves, often arranged in a graceful fan shape. As a hybrid of Gasteria bicolor, this cultivar tends to show enhanced coloration, texture, or compact growth—making it perfect for collectors and beginners alike.
Leaves are typically mottled with silvery green spots or streaks on a deep green background, and mature plants may develop gentle ridging or a hint of reddish blush under bright light. The overall effect is a textural, sculptural accent perfect for windowsills, desks, or dish gardens.
☀ Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered sun. Can tolerate low light better than many succulents, but bright light encourages richer color and tighter growth.
💧 Watering Needs
Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during winter. Avoid watering into the leaf rosette to prevent rot.
🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to around 30–35°F with protection. Bring indoors if temps are expected to dip below freezing. For cold weather orders, we recommend a [Heat Pack].
