Ibervillea Tenuisecta is a herbaceous perennial climbing vine that boasts a remarkable caudex, vibrant yellow flowers in summer, and delightful miniature red-orange melons in autumn. With its unique features, this plant commands attention, and its notable fruits steal the spotlight. Ibervillea Tenuisecta is closely related to Ibervillea Lindheimeri, sharing similarities and captivating gardeners and plant enthusiasts alike.

Ibervillea Tenuisecta displays a unique growth habit as a geophyte twining vine. The vine part of the plant is primarily annual and deciduous, adding a touch of variety to its growth cycle. This habit contributes to its adaptability and flexibility in various garden settings.

Light: Ibervillea Tenuisecta thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. It prefers a location with partial shade, especially during the hottest part of the day. Place it in an area that receives about 4 to 6 hours of filtered sunlight or morning sun. Avoid exposing it to intense, direct sunlight for extended periods, as it can cause leaf burn.

Watering: Ibervillea Tenuisecta has moderate water needs. It prefers well-draining soil to prevent waterlogged conditions, which can be detrimental to the plant's health. Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, but do not let it become completely parched.

Native: Southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

This cactus will ship bare root and will be ready to place directly in a well draining soil mix like our Custom Cactus Mix.
