Aloe jucunda
Common Name: Somali Aloe

Aloe jucunda is a rare, small-sized aloe with smooth, glossy green leaves beautifully marked by pale, irregular spots. Native to Somalia, this species is cherished for its tidy rosette form and vibrant leaf patterning, giving it a jewel-like appearance. Edged with tiny soft teeth, the leaves are thick, fleshy, and compact—making this aloe ideal for tight spaces and collector trays.

Despite its delicate look, Aloe jucunda is surprisingly tough and easy to care for. In bright light, the spots become more defined, and under mild stress, the leaves may blush slightly reddish—a bonus for those who love a little color shift.

☀ Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate morning sun, but protect from intense afternoon heat to avoid leaf scorch. Great for well-lit indoor spots.

💧 Watering Needs
Water thoroughly when soil is completely dry. Aloe jucunda appreciates good drainage and is sensitive to overwatering—especially in cool or low-light conditions.

🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Best kept above 40°F. Protect from frost and cold drafts. For colder zones or winter shipments, consider adding a [Heat Pack] to your order.

✨ Special Features
Glossy, Spotted Leaves – Eye-catching pattern with a rich green base
Miniature Growth – Perfect for desktops, dish gardens, and small pots
Rare Species – A Somali native not often seen in cultivation

Other Common Names:
