Cereus spegazzinii cristata is a truly unique crested form of the South American columnar cactus, Cereus spegazzinii. Instead of growing in its typical upright, ribbed fashion, this cultivar forms beautiful, undulating fans of tightly folded growth, creating a sculptural, almost coral-like appearance. Each crest is entirely unique, making this a highly collectible and artistic specimen for cactus lovers.

The stems are often blue-green to glaucous gray, with short, bristly spines and dramatic ridging that enhances the twisting wave pattern of the crest. Over time, it may grow into an expansive and intricate form that looks like a desert sculpture.

☀ Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light or filtered sun. Some direct morning sun is beneficial, but protect from harsh midday rays, especially in summer, to prevent scorching the delicate crested tissue.

💧 Watering Needs
Water deeply when the soil is completely dry. Like most crested cacti, it’s sensitive to overwatering—ensure excellent drainage and avoid watering during periods of dormancy or cool weather.

🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to about 30°F if kept dry. Protect from frost and prolonged cold. A [Heat Pack] is recommended for winter shipments.
