Euphorbia aeruginosa 'Minor'
Common Name: Miniature Saguaro
Euphorbia aeruginosa 'Minor', affectionately nicknamed the Miniature Saguaro, is a compact, clumping succulent prized for its sculptural form and striking color. This dwarf variety produces slender, upright stems with vibrant blue-green skin, accented by deep ribs and sharp red spines that give it a cactus-like appearance—though it’s actually a Euphorbia!
Unlike typical cactus, this euphorbia blooms with tiny yellow cyathia (flowers), usually at the tips of mature stems in warm seasons. Its tightly clustered growth and miniature stature make it perfect for windowsills, dish gardens, or collectors looking for unique small-form plants.
☀ Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light to partial sun. Outdoors, protect from intense afternoon heat. Indoors, place in a well-lit window or under grow lights.
💧 Watering Needs
Water sparingly. Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Like most Euphorbias, it prefers infrequent watering and well-draining soil. Water even less during winter dormancy.
🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to about 30–35°F in dry conditions. Avoid frost and extended cold. For winter orders or cold zones, consider adding a [Heat Pack].
