Description:
The Euphorbia horida is a striking succulent that closely resembles a cactus, earning it the nickname "African Milk Barrel." Native to South Africa, this unique plant showcases cylindrical, ridged stems adorned with spines that vary in color from silvery-grey to reddish-brown, adding dramatic texture to any collection. Its bluish-green skin is often marbled with lighter hues, creating a bold and captivating appearance.

This euphorbia is a slow grower, typically forming solitary stems that can reach heights of up to 3 feet, though older specimens may develop offsets, creating a clustered look.

Light Requirements:

Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight to full sun. Place in a sunny window or outdoors in a spot with filtered light during warmer months.

Watering Needs:

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Like many succulents, Euphorbia horida is drought-tolerant and prefers infrequent, deep watering. Reduce watering significantly during winter dormancy.

Temperature Tolerance:

Hardy down to 30-35°F with proper acclimation. Protect from frost and freezing conditions by bringing indoors or covering during colder months. If temperatures are going to be lower than this in your area, we highly recommend adding a  Heat Pack  to your order.
