Harrisia jusbertii
Common Name: Jusbert’s Apple Cactus
Harrisia jusbertii is a rare and elegant columnar cactus known for its striking blue-green skin, tall upright growth, and stunning white night-blooming flowers. With its narrow ribs, sparse spines, and soft coloration, this species brings a clean, architectural presence to any cactus collection.
Believed to be a natural or garden hybrid, Harrisia jusbertii is often used as a grafting stock in cactus cultivation due to its strong root system and compatibility with many species. However, it's a beautiful specimen in its own right—especially when allowed to grow tall and flower on its own.
☀ Light Requirements
Prefers full sun to very bright indirect light. Outdoors, it thrives in hot, dry locations. Indoors, place in the brightest possible spot to encourage vertical growth and flowering.
💧 Watering Needs
Water deeply only when the soil is completely dry. During active growth (spring–summer), it appreciates regular watering with excellent drainage. Reduce watering in winter.
🌡 Temperature Tolerance
Hardy to around 25–30°F in dry conditions. Protect from hard frost and wet cold. For winter shipping, consider adding a [Heat Pack].
✨ Special Features
• Columnar Growth – Upright form with clean lines and subtle ribbing
• Night Bloomer – Produces large, fragrant white flowers in warm months
