Pilosocereus gounellei is a branching columnar cactus native to northeastern Brazil. It develops multiple upright stems with prominent ribs, woolly areoles, and short spines, eventually forming an impressive shrub-like specimen. Mature plants produce tubular white flowers followed by colorful fruit.
